Some golfers might think they got a good deal on golfing equipment when they found someone selling off a collection of drivers and some odd balls at a flea market. They though they got a heck of a deal when the person included a golf bag. This golf equipment might have been a deal if the golfer was going to use it for amateurish games in the backyard but the equipment did not conform to golf rules for play on a professional golf course and was useless to the golfer for serious practice. Most people are not aware that there are various lists of equipment that does conform to professional golf rules. These rules pertain to the golf balls, golf bags, drivers, woods and tees. This list ensures that every golfer is playing by the same standards and is well equipped for a professional golf competition at any time. These rules also save people a lot of time because they are not out buying golf equipment that they can not use everyday to improve a golf average. As long as drivers meet the standards of coefficient of restitution, they can be used for a professional golf competition. Some golfers make sure that they have the right equipment by buying equipment that meets this standard exactly. The custom made clubs meets the limits of the coefficient of restitution by making sure the driver head does not cause any type of spring to emerge when the ball is hit. The limits of the of the coefficient of restitution will be changing soon and most golfers will find it very beneficial to their golf game if they ensure that all drivers and club do not exceed a limit of .830. This is a new standard that will apply to every golfer in 2008 and if golfers find some non-conforming clubs in their golf bag, it would be a good idea to beat the rush and order replacements as soon as possible. The United States Golf Association maintains a list of all clubs that do not fall within the new specifications for coefficient of restitution. There is also a listing for golf balls that do not meet the standard and golfers should give these items some stern attention to detail because no golfer wants to be banned from a competition because they have illegal equipment in their golf bag. Every golfer should be familiar with the way that a driver responds because this golfing tool is used most often on a golf course. The driver will know if a particular brand of golf ball has a lot of spin to it and some might prefer to keep that spin. Any equipment that causes a spin is likely to be a non-conforming piece of golfing equipment and should be inspected to ensure that it conforms to the rules that the USGA has defined.

The police are back on the road
The Police are back on the road this year for the first time in two decades, in one of the most eagerly anticipated tours of recent years. As one of the most definitive post-punk/early new-wave bands, The Police made their name in the late seventies with their distinctive punk-meets-pop-meets-reggae sound, while showing off a carefully contrived peroxide blonde look. The mix served them well as they produced a series of five successful albums before breaking up in 1984. Comprising Sting (a. k.a. Gordon Sumner) on lead vocals and bass guitar, drummer Stewart Copeland, and lead guitarist Andy Summers, the trio took advantage of the growing medium of new musical videos and a general public weariness with punk and pop music. They began with a raw, punk-inspired power-pop sound, but evolved quickly into producing much more complex material, both musically and lyrically, allowing reggae and jazz influences to become increasingly apparent in their music. In their seven years, they amassed five U. K. number 1 singles, four U. K. number 1 albums, with sales of Synchronicity going platinum eight times in the U. S., as well as hitting number 1 on both sides of the Atlantic. They are the recipients of two Brit awards and six Grammy’s. Discography (original studio albums only): Outlandos d'Amour - Nov 1978, UK #6 Reggatta de Blanc - Oct 1979, UK #1 Zenyatta Mondatta - Oct 1980, UK #1 Ghost in the Machine - Oct 1981, UK #1 Synchronicity - Jun 1983, UK #1 While the band enjoyed both critical and commercial success, they fought incessantly and often violently (to the point that Stewart Copeland reportedly broke one of Sting’s ribs during a scuffle). The tumultuous relationship among band members was documented by Copeland who recently compiled personal archived footage and released it as a film. Everyone Stares: The Police Inside and Out premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006, an event that many credit as the being the main spur behind the band deciding on a come-back tour. Sting’s son Joe Sumner and his band, Fiction Plane, are currently supporting The Police on the North American leg of their world tour, which is continuing through the summer and then again in November. In October the band are set to come to the UK for several dates in England, Wales and Ireland. Fans can expect a straightforward set with a black amphitheater design and several video screens suspended discretely overhead to show close-ups of the band members. They are touring with no back-up singers or accompanying musicians, special effects or gimmicks, which is bound to keep the purists happy. The set list is a straight-up, no apologies “best of”, but most people attending these gigs will be wanting precisely that; a trip down memory lane and to hear some of the best musical tracks ever written and performed. Forthcoming UK Dates: 6 October - Croke Park, Dublin, Eire 15 October - M. E.N. Arena Manchester 16 October - M. E.N. Arena Manchester 19 October - Cardiff Millennium Stadium, Wales 20 October - Wembley Arena, London Certainly, one of the most eagerly anticipated tours of recent years.

About smoking addiction
The addiction to smoking, which implies addiction to the substance nicotine has several components. The better one is aware of these components and understand them, the better is the chance for succeeding in stopping the smoking habit. Here is a survey of the components that addiction to smoke consist of. THE SOCIAL COMPONENT To some extend the habit of smoking is a product of socialization. Socialization is simply the tendency to repeat patterns of behaviour one sees other persons in the society exhibit. Socialisation is one major way children and young people learn social skills. Children and teenagers learn skills necessary to live and work in the society by a socialisation process. Unfortunately also bad habits and bad ways of thinking are learned the same way. If one lives or works together with other smoking individuals, one will more or less automatic adopt these individuals’ smoking habits. If one then tries to break out of the social structure, one will feel anxiety for not being accepted any more by the social group one is a part of. If the other individuals also make moves to threaten or freeze out an individual trying to brake this bad social standard, the difficulty of breaking out of the habit will be even greater. The threatening actions may not even be very serious to frighten a person from braking out of such a socially standardized habit, and may not even be meant as a threat. THE NEED FOR SUCKING AND CHEWING Every person have a need for sucking and chewing. This need is necessary in early infanthood, but it also persists into adult life to some degree. Some persons use cigarettes or other smoking devices and the smoke as a means to satisfy this need. There is a hypothesis that this need is greater by some adults then by others because this need, or some other similar basic need, has not been fully satisfied in early infanthood. If you want to stop smoking, you can try to satisfy this need by other means, for example by always keeping something in your pocket that you can put in your mouth to chew at when the need for smoke appears. AUTOMATIC REPEATING When a person have done something many times and frequently enough, there will be created a pattern of automatic repetition of that particular behaviour. This is especially true if the particular action is done in a distinct recognizable situation. The pattern of automatic repetition also have the effect of making a person feel safer in the daily life and routines. Such a pattern of automatic repetition is always a component in the smoking habit. It you want to quit smoking, you should make an investigation to find out in which situations and which environments you usually take a cigarette. Then try to avoid these situations or environments where you use to smoke, or to deliberately alter these situations. NICOTINE USED AS A SELF MEDICATION Nicotine has a tranquilizing effect upon nervous feelings. At the same time it has some anti-depressive effect, at least in the short run, and it makes a person feel more awake. A person suffering from nervousness or from depressive symptoms may feel that the smoking helps him against his mental symptoms. However, gradually there will be a need for steadily higher doses of nicotine to give these good effects, and if there is a lack of nicotine in the body, the nervous or depressive feelings will be greater than before. This gratification, but with the need for steadily higher doses to get the good effects is a major incentive for the smoking habit. You should consider if this anti-depressive or tranquilizing effect is a reason for your smoking. Then you should try to find other ways to achieve the same effect. Engaging in some sport or outdoor life will often make you feel less depressed. If the depressive feelings are more serious, some appropriate treatment can be necessary. THE PLEASURE COMPONENT There is to some degree a plain and direct pleasure connected with smoking. This pleasure is in itself a good effect. This good effect is probably in most cases too small compared to the painful effects of smoking, but will gives a temptation for an individual to continue the habit. However, also this pleasure effect will gradually be difficult to obtain without increasing the doses. If the plain pleasure of smoking is a main reason for your habit, then you should try to find other sources of pleasure instead, for example some good food, some good music or some erotic action. THE GENETIC COMPONENT Not all people get equally easy dependent of nicotine. There are factors yet not fully understood that make some people more easily addicted than others. Perhaps some persons have receptors on their nerve cells that more easily get trigged by nicotine than others, or perhaps some people have more receptors with the ability to get trigged by nicotine, and this is inherited in the genetic code. THE NERVOUS MECHANISMS WORKING BY ADDICTION The normal brain has signal substances with a tranquilizing effect, and substances with a stimulating effect upon nerve cells. Like most narcotic substances, nicotine act like a signal substance by fitting into receptors on some brain cells. Nicotine attaches itself to some receptors and thus give the nerve cell having these receptors a signal. The cells getting such a signal from nicotine, will react by secreting another signal substance, dopamine that influence still other cells. Dopamine will tranquilize some brain cells and stimulate others, and the total effect of this is the pleasurable effects of smoking. However, when nicotine steadily induces dopamine release, the brain will gradually decrease the production of dopamine when nicotine is not present, and the brain will feel a steadily greater need for nicotine to work normally and feel well.
Land scammers to be nailed
The UK Parliament seems convinced about Greg Mulholland's arguments that the scammers are trying hard to sell the greenfield lands in Sussex Farmland and Groombridge Land. Both these places are a heaven for scammers as they present natural environment and a feeling of being with nature to the visitor. Mulholland, the Liberal Democrat, argued that the land banking companies are trying hard to get a pie out of the sale of investment land and that the Government and the Ministers will agree to work with him on this issue. The MP for Leeds, North West also commented on the full investment process through which the investor goes and the company makes money. The MP told the Parliament as to how the Government reacted to one of the Land Scams being conducted in Victoria, Australia. The government body barred the said company for any promotional and marketing activities until full hearing of the case has been done. But no such decisive action has taken place in the UK. The MP said that a company contacted him for this matter and put its concern over the growing number of fly-by-night land banking companies. Mr. Mulholland concluded that a governing body to rule out the possible scams has to be devised. The measure suggested by Mr. Mulholland can successfully prevent the scamsters to sell the land of Groombridge Land and Sussex Farmland.

The what where and how of buying a coffee grinder
Grinding coffee beans in the correct manner is an essential part of creating a good-quality cup of coffee, so buying a coffee grinder is one of the better investments you can make in your business. But there are several important points to consider when making your purchase, and you should think about each point carefully before spending your money. What type of coffee grinder do you need? For example, some grinders operate manually by turning a handle, however if you expect to be producing a lot of coffee, you might want to buy an automatic one. They tend to be more expensive but will save you a lot of time and effort if you expect to be grinding a lot of coffee beans. Also, bear in mind that coffee beans should ideally be ground no more than 2 minutes before brewing in order to avoid staling, which drastically impairs the flavour of the coffee itself - it can therefore be useful to have an automatic coffee grinder that can quickly grind the beans just before they are needed. Where should you buy your grinder? There are many web sites that sell coffee grinders, so make sure you do your research thoroughly. It can be much cheaper to buy your grinder from a company based in your own country, as you will save money on shipping costs, however if you want a certain brand or type of grinder that is only available overseas, you will of course need to look at web sites from further afield. How much should you spend? This really depends on your own budget. Grinding your own coffee can enormously improve the flavour, so buying a good-quality grinder is important; however, prices do differ immensely from web site to web site. Wherever you choose to buy your coffee grinder from, do your research, decide on a budget and stick to it.
Local or organic a false choice
A couple of years ago, I visited an organic vegetable farm in southeast Minnesota, not far from the Mississippi River. Nestled in a valley that sloped down from rolling pasture and cropland sat Featherstone Fruits and Vegetables, a 40-acre farm. Featherstone was part of a local food web in the upper Midwest, selling at a farmers' market, through a CSA (community supported agriculture) and to co-op stores in the Twin Cities. But the partners, Jack Hedin and Rhys Williams, who began in 1995, were having a tough time economically and realized they would have to boost sales if they were to become viable. The farm earned about $22,000 a year -- split between the two partners -- so they had to take on debt to keep going; this, after a 60 to 70 hour work week. Hedin told me he made some calls and eventually landed a deal with Whole Foods to supply the natural foods chain with organic heirloom tomatoes. When I visited, they were in year two of the contract, picking the tomatoes before their peak ripeness, then shipping them to Chicago for stores in the Midwest. The deal had become the biggest sales channel for their farm; while still "local," they were not as local as when they sold in their backyard. There was a lesson here, one that often gets lost in the debate about which is better, local or organic? Too often this is understood as a zero sum game -- that the money you spend on organic food at the supermarket will mean less for local farmers. After all, the food you buy is being shipped from who knows where and then often ends up in a processed food product. I've heard the argument that if all the money spent on organic food (around $14 billion) were actually channeled to local food, then a lot more small farms would survive and local food networks could expand. Well, Featherstone was doing precisely the opposite: it had entered the organic wholesale marketplace and then sent its tomatoes hundreds of miles away to survive as a small and, yes, local farm. As consumers, it's hard to understand these realities since we're so divorced from the way food is produced. Even for conscious consumers who think about values other than convenience and price -- avoiding pesticides, the survival of small farms, artisan food, and, of course, the most basic values, freshness and taste -- choices must be made. Should we avoid pesticides at all costs or help small local farmers who may use them? Should we reduce food shipment miles, or buy food produced in an ecologically sound manner regardless of where it's grown? These questions arise because we want to do what's right. The problem, though, is that these questions set up false choices. What Hedin and others showed me was that when it comes to doing the right thing, what really mattered was thinking about the choice -- to be aware, to stay informed, and to be conscious of our role as consumers. But what you actually chose -- local or organic -- didn't really matter. Hedin, for example, was competing against farmers he actually knew on the West Coast, who also supplied organic produce to Whole Foods. I met one, Tim Mueller of River Dog Farm, in the one-bar town of Guinda, California. His farm sold produce at the Berkeley Farmers Market about 90 minutes away, but he was also tied to wholesale markets. (I saw River Dog's heirloom tomatoes in western Massachusetts.) For these organic farmers, selling wholesale was a foundation for economic sustainability. Moreover, by expanding the organic market, we may be actually helping local farmers. The USDA surveyed farmers' markets and found that about a third of farmers selling direct were organic -- local and organic, that is. In comparison, just one percent of all American farms practice organic agriculture. So for smaller-scale farmers selling direct, organic food has become a key component of their identity. By bringing more people into the organic fold, through whatever gateway they happened to choose, the pool of consumers considering local food would likely increase too. That's at least what Jim Crawford, a farmer from south central Pennsylvania believed. His 25-acre operation, New Morning Farm, works two farmers’ markets in Washington, D. C., and Jim played a key role in the growth of local foods in the region, having started out as an organic farmer in the 1970s. He told me he worried when Whole Foods opened a supermarket near his farmers' market location in Washington because he thought he would lose customers. But over time, he noticed, sales kept rising. He thought the supermarket, which stocked a lot of organic produce from California, was actually converting customers to organic food and they in turn were finding their way to his market. But what about companies that have pursued the organic marketplace without any concern for local food? What about, say, Earthbound Farm, which has grown into the third largest organic brand and the largest organic produce company in the nation, with its bagged salad mixes in three-quarters of all supermarkets? The company fiercely competed with other organic growers who later went out of business; its salad was grown organically but with industrial-scale agriculture; and the trucks that shipped the salad around the country burned through a lot of fossil fuel. But Earthbound was competing with the likes of Dole, Fresh Express and ReadyPac in the mainstream market to offer consumers an organic choice. It did little for local food (a saving grace, since it left the market to smaller players). But Earthbound farmed on 26,000 acres of certified organic land, which meant that 267,000 pounds of pesticides and 8.4 million pounds of chemical fertilizers were being removed from use annually, the company estimated. And as studies repeatedly show, organic farming also saves energy (since the production of fertilizer and pesticides consumes one-third of the energy used in farming overall). Earthbound's accomplishments should not be ignored -- even if they are anything but local. Which brings me to a final point: How we shop. Venues like Whole Foods are not fully organic because people are often unwilling to spend more than a small portion of their grocery budget on organic foods. It's too expensive. This is one reason why organic food accounts for just two percent of food sales -- one percent if you include eating out. Similarly, local foods, though important, total 1-2 percent. So arguing over local or organic is a bit like two people in a room of 100 fighting over who has the more righteous alternative to what the other 98 people are doing. It doesn't really matter, because the bigger issue is swaying the majority. When I shop, visiting the Dupont Circle farmers market in Washington, D. C., on Sunday morning and then going to the supermarket, I make choices. I buy local, organic, and conventional foods too, because each meets a need. Is the local product "better" than the organic one? No. Both are good choices because they move the food market in a small way. In choosing them, I can insert my values into an equation that for too long has been determined only by volume, convenience and price. While I have nothing against low prices and convenient shopping, the blind pursuit of these two values can wreak a lot of damage -- damage that we ultimately pay for in water pollution, toxic pesticide exposure, livestock health, the quality of food and the loss of small farms. The total bill may not show up at the cash register but it's one we pay nonetheless. So what's my advice? Think about what you're buying. If you want local food, buy local. If you want organic, buy organic. The point is to make a conscious choice, because as we insert our values into the market, businesses respond and things change. There's power in what we do collectively, so is there any reason to limit it unnecessarily? © Samuel Fromartz 2006, reprinted by permission Author Samuel Fromartz is a business journalist who has written for Fortune, Business Week, and Inc. Cash back credit cards get paid to shop
Cash back credit cards operate as their name implies; you receive cash from the credit card company based on the amount you spend. That’s right - you earn money just for swiping the card! But before you apply, there are some factors you should know about cash back credit cards. Read on to learn how cash back credit cards work and find one that best fits your lifestyle. How Cash Back Credit Cards Work While the concept is the same in all cash back credit cards, the method for calculating your reward varies greatly. Some companies offer up to 5% cash back on frequently purchased items, such as gas or groceries. So if you spend $1,000 at the grocery store each month, you can expect a return of $50. Other offers calculate a straight percentage of cash back on all purchases. Still others include a point system. You might earn one point for each dollar you spend. The points can then be redeemed for cash. Another way that cash back credit cards differ from one another is in the rebate system. Many companies will send you a rebate check at a certain time or year or when you earn a certain amount of money, such as $25. Some credit the money to your account. Others require you to request the reward money. Why the Fine Print is Important With some cash back credit cards, you must spend a certain amount before you receive a higher percentage of cash back. This tiered option is usually spelled out in the fine print. So if you see the wording “up to 1%” on the application, check the fine print. This could mean that the first $1,500 you spent will only earn 0.25%. The next $1,500 will earn 0.50% cash back. Once you spend $3,000, you will earn 1% cash back. This method varies from card to card, so be sure to read the details. Select the Best Option Keep in mind that some cash back credit cards are only available to those who have good to excellent credit. Also, many times these cards come with higher interest rates. If you carry a balance from month to month, you may end up spending more on interest payments than you earn through the cash back system. Another factor to consider is the way to earn the most for your spending. If you spend a lot of time on the road every week, a card with cash back on gas may be a good option. If you have high grocery bills, look into a card that offers a good return at supermarkets. If you do not want to be limited to where you can earn money, check out a company that offers a set percentage return on all purchases. By looking through your options, you can find what works best for you. Cash back credit cards offer great incentives to the consumer. If you use your card regularly and pay off the balance each month, the cash back credit card may be perfect for you. And its rewards add up fast. Enjoy the ease of swiping your card; then use the extra dollars you earn for a plane ticket, a fancy dinner, or a vacation splurge.
The tiny islands of los roques off the coast of venezuela
To an increasing number of people who seek isolation, privacy, and exclusivity, the place to go are the tiny Venezuelan islands of Los Roques. The Venezuelan islands of Los Roques are the most southern islands in the Caribbean, and they are not the easiest place to get to, which is why they are becoming the exclusive hideaway of the rich and famous. To get there you need to fly from Caracas, in a small plane, probably a ten seater propeller plane, and so you get the chance to clearly see what is so attractive about Los Roques. The sea is so shallow, it looks like turquoise glass from the plane, with several islands sticking out of this perfect sea, some absolutely tiny. The aircraft lands on Gran Roque, on a very dusty airstrip, no real formalities or help here, you pick up your bags yourself, and literally within a couple of minutes you can be in your accommodation. The first thing that will strike you is the wind, it blows all the time, and the second thing is the complete lack of motor vehicles, I think there might be a couple of trucks to deliver water and take away rubbish, and a few beach buggy type of vehicle. Water is very precious here, the drinking water is desalinated. There really is nothing to do here if you don’t fish, sail or dive, and added to that is kite surfing. This looks incredibly exciting, and it is a great place if you want to do that sort of thing. You could of course just pose; it’s that sort of place. It’s impossible to say what is the best beach, because every island is surrounded by a beautiful beach, and often you will be the only person on the beach on the island you are visiting. Life here is simple, and it’s easy to get yourself a boat hire to take you pretty anywhere you want to go. What is so lovely about Los Roques is the lack of development, lack of resort hotels, and lack of visitors. The whole of Los Roques is a National Marine Park, and the only tourism is in the north east corner. No building is allowed to be higher than two floors, so no resorts, just Pousadas, which are converted family homes, and some are very small, luxurious, with a fantastic level of personal service. In terms of the feel of the place. It isn’t really Caribbean, more southern European, a mixture of Portuguese and French, and in fact most of the Pousadas being run by southern Europeans. The main square on Gran Roque is French; you almost feel there should be a game of boule going on!! This is a place to be seen now before, as it inevitably will, mass tourism hits the tiny Islands of Los Roques.
Anno s evangelion a study in mental disorders
Hideaki Anno's magnum opus of an anime, “Shin Seiki Evangelion” has long been the subject of debate for anime fans. There will always be conflicts on whether the show reinvigorated a stagnating industry or if it was all hype. There will be fans arguing one way or another about the validity of the countless revivals and reinterpretations of the original material, including the latest CG-heavy movie project entitled “The Rebuild of Evangelion.” The debate on whether one of the female leads is better and more attractive than the other is likely never going to end. However, the fact that all of the characters exhibit some extreme examples of severely stunted mental health is a point of great interest to the fans. The latest installment can be viewed as a protracted case study into just how warped a human mind can become. For a good introduction into this facet of the show, there's always the lead character, Shinji Ikari. The boy exhibits signs of incredible social anxiety, being completely unwilling to engage in social activities at the onset of the show. In some ways, his politeness and tendency to apologize repeatedly for things that are not his fault, as well as apologizing for his earlier apologies, can also be seen as a link to his performance anxiety. Indeed, throughout the bulk of the show, he exhibits signs of performance anxiety when tasked with piloting the massive bio-mechanical constructs known as “evangelions.” The fact that his social anxiety prevents him from truly opening up to anyone makes it difficult for him to find ways to release his tension and fear, even to his trusted guardian. There are a few fans that have theorized that Shinji's myriad of psychological issues also contains Oedipus complex, though the show merely hints upon this. An interesting mirror to Shinji is one of the female leads, Asuka Langley Soryu. She has suffered the same trauma as Shinji, mainly the death of the mother and rejection by the father. However, her social anxiety seems to have taken the opposite route as Shinji's, giving her a more extroverted and vocal personality but pushing away people when she subconsciously feels that they are getting too close. She also exhibits extreme status anxiety when piloting the “evangelion” units are concerned. She is highly concerned with maintaining her status as the most effective pilot, going to great lengths to stay that way. However, when the data reflects Shinji's performance as being superior to hers, she goes berserk and insists that such an event is impossible. The situation was worsened when Shinji invariably rescued her, as she was rendered incapacitated by a mental attack that forced her to deal with her myriad of issues, all of which she had pushed under the surface. Her mental health eventually collapses in the wake of those events, causing her to rapidly progress from self-doubt, to depression, and finally to a complete mental and emotional breakdown. In the original incarnation, she never actually recovered. In some ways, Shinji's guardian, Misato Katsuragi, has also experienced stunted mental health. The death of her father traumatized her, such that she was unable to speak for several years after the incident. Her attraction to a co-worker, Kaji, is an overt sign of Electra complex. Characters within the show have pointed out that Misato's attraction to Kaji stems from his resemblance to her father, both in appearance and personality. She has also exhibited some signs of separation anxiety, as evidenced by her unwillingness to sacrifice Shinji in battle, even if it would cost potentially thousands of other lives to save him. Her constant worrying over this fact is taken as evidence of the problem. Her outgoing and happy personality is also hinted to be her way of coping with some form of social anxiety, which manifests by her refusal to allow herself to get emotionally close to her. It is also implied that she understands this, as she notes that any attempt to develop her parental relationship with Shinji would only result in both of them getting hurt. Even the parental nature of her relationship with Shinji is questionable, particularly due to her statements implying that she will sleep with him if he does as she says and saves the world in the “End of Evangelion” movie. Rei Ayanami, another of the lead characters, is generally viewed as a “poster child” for a number of stunted mental health. She is often seen being incapable of feeling emotions, or at least incapable of expressing the emotions she feels. However, this lack of emotion from her has only added to the speculation on what her myriad of psychological issues are. She exhibited Thanatos, the so-called “death instinct,” on one occasion. Her lack of friends and social contacts has been interpreted by some as being a product of her own social anxiety, which is in turn aggravated by her apparent lack of emotions. Indeed, it is generally assumed that the other students tried to initiate social interaction with her, but that she herself prevented it from going further than that. However, unlike Shinji and Asuka, she does not seem to exhibit anxiety problems regarding her ability to pilot an “evangelion,” though whether this is because she does not feel it or she is incapable of expressing her frustrations is debatable. All of the other major figures in the show exhibit signs of mental health problems in most incarnations. It has often been stated that the characters are motivated and controlled by their anxiety disorders and psychological issues, with most of them being where they are because of their problems. The anime was heralded as revolutionary because of its psychological and religious themes, as well as showing that the mecha sub-genre could have a deeper meaning than “giants robots fighting other giant robots.” The point is arguable but, even a decade after the show was first released, it is arguable that no anime has had characters as psychologically warped as “Evangelion.”
15 Startling reasons why your 401 k may be your riskiest investment
Financial institutions have a distinct genius for marketing. They are able to get millions of Americans to hand over their money with very little thought taken, very little knowledge of the so-called investments offered, and even less control of their investments. When the evidence is plainly presented, it becomes overwhelmingly clear that putting money into 401(k)s and similar qualified plans is not investing at all--it is one of the riskiest gambles for most individuals. Read the following reasons why I say this, and ask yourself if it's time to reconsider your 401(k). 1. Limited Opportunity For Cash Flow Qualified retirement plans, such as 401(k)s and IRAs, do not provide immediate cash flow, which means that you cannot benefit from them through velocity and utilization. The theory is that letting the money sit allows it to compound, but for most people this really means that it stagnates. Most people will not choose to utilize these funds even when a particularly compelling opportunity arises that will make them far more than the 401(k) would, even accounting for the penalties. This means that numerous legitimate opportunities are passed by as people stay "in it for the long haul." 2. Lack of Liquidity The money is tied up with penalties attached for early withdrawal. Although there are a few technicalities that allow penalty-free withdrawals, the restrictions are so numerous that very few know how to get around them. 3. Market Dependency The performance of the funds is dependent upon market factors that most individuals do not have the knowledge nor the ability to understand or mitigate. This means that your retirement plans are based on unknowable projections, making for a dangerous and uncertain planning environment. Uncertainty causes fear, and fear leads to mistakes, worry, scarcity, and ultimately lost hopes and dreams. Do you want to live your ideal life only if the market cooperates? 4. The Match Myth "Take the match--it's a guaranteed 100 a year, based on an average return of 8 annually, but that means that some years will be lower, some will be higher. If in one year your fund is down 10%, you're tapping into your principal to take your interest withdrawal. At that point, you have only two choices: 1) start withdrawing principal, or 2) leave the money alone until your funds are up again. 14. No Holistic Plan I've witnessed on many occasions people whose finances are in shambles and although they have much more pressing needs, they diligently contribute to their 401(k). They've been convinced to do so, of course, because of the match, tax deferral, etc. It's like a person trying to take care of a scraped knee when their wrist is slit. What they really need is a macroeconomic approach to their finances that will help them identify, prioritize, and manage all pieces of their financial puzzle, with all pieces coordinated and working together. 15. Neglect of Stewardship Ultimately, the most destructive aspect of 401(k)s is that they cause many individuals to abdicate their responsibility, abandon self-reliance, and neglect their stewardship over their own prosperity. People think that if they just throw enough money at the "experts" that somehow, some way, and without their direct involvement they will end up thirty years later with a lot of money. And when things don't turn out that way they think they can blame others--despite the fact that they only have themselves to blame. Conclusion Qualified plans are promoted on such a wide scale because those promoting it have vested interests--and their interests don't necessarily coincide with yours. If you currently contribute to a 401(k), stop and think about it for a minute. What is it really doing for you, now and in the future? The desire to save money for retirement is wise and prudent, but after reading the above, do you think it's possible to find other investment philosophies, products, and strategies that would meet your financial objectives much more quickly and safely than a qualified plan? Are you really comfortable exposing yourself to this much risk? How can you mitigate your risk, increase your returns, and create safe and sustainable investments? How can you create more control and better exit strategies, reduce your tax burden, and increase your cash flow? Your financial future depends on your answers to these questions.
How often have you thought that doesn t make sense
Copyright 2006 Cole's Poetic License As you think about that, imagine what Galileo said when he dropped a hammer and a peach from the Leaning Tower of Pisa and they both landed at the same time. (I know. It wasn't a peach.) Well, it doesn't make sense, either, that people who believe they can attract unreasonable amounts of money do just that. I just dropped a paper clip and a book to test the law of gravity. It's not quite so easy to test the law of attraction because beliefs are hard to see. And yet, a physicist might say I saw the book and paper clip land because I believed that was what I was looking at. Let's not go there, yet. If you consider what you believe, little by little, you begin to see that you have indeed attracted into your life what you believe to be true. Wouldn't it be amazing if you could suddenly, this year, attract great wealth? All you have to do is change your belief. Ah, that's the rub. Easier said than done. Here's where Bob Doyle comes in. I quote from the introduction of his book and online course, "Wealth Beyond Reason." "This book exists for one purpose: To explain to you as effectively as possible, exactly what you can do to have everything in your life that you can possibly imagine. And since that is such a tall order, I need to be able to explain how to do that in a way that does not seem "hocus-pocus" or require you to adopt some kind of "new-age" belief system, because I would lose a great many of those I am trying to reach if I went that route. "I call these principles a "hidden secret" because although the world's wealthiest individuals have gained their wealth through the utilization of these principles, they have not always been consciously aware that they were doing so. In this book we reveal what all wealthy people have in common, and how you can easily model their process for attracting wealth of any level. "I will share with you that being a "teacher" of these principles can be tricky business. "On one hand, I have the privilege of sharing what I believe to be the most exciting principles available for our use as human beings, because they truly give us access to anything we want. We are all "wizards in waiting", and we only need be awakened to our ability before we can literally wave our magic wands and experience anything we desire. "The other side of the coin however, is that the information I am going to share with you can be quite confronting. Because when it comes down to it, your current situation - whatever that may be - is a direct result of what you are feeling, thinking, and believing . Unless you can take full responsibility for where you are now, you will never fully have control over where you are going. "This book is called "Wealth Beyond Reason" because it is truly unreasonable just how much wealth you can create using the Law of Attraction. At first, it may seem that what we talk about "defies logic", but in fact, it demonstrates perfect, scientific fact. "If you have ever seen someone with seemingly unlimited monetary resources and ever thought "they have so much money it is ridiculous", that is precisely the kind of wealth we are talking about helping you develop starting immediately. And it is so simple, if you let it be . "I also call this "Wealth Beyond Reason" because it is going to be your ability to "suspend reason" that allows you to have success with these principles. Many of us come from very analytic backgrounds and we have a hard time just blindly accepting new concepts, particularly if they seem to fly in the face of everything we have ever learned. Many of you will be confronted with these kinds of thoughts - and that is okay. It is people like you for whom this book was specifically written. And it is all built around this one crucial principle: The Universal Law of Attraction Energy Attracts Like Energy" ~~~ Have you noticed a theme here? There's a whole lot more to life than one belief system can hold. I know for a fact that Bob Doyle is an honorable man. Here's to suspending your disbelief— Here's to your wealth.
Beginners guide to buying a pda
Are you considering the purchase of your very first PDA? If so, what should you look for? How much should you spend? What features should you get? Before making the final decision to purchase a PDA, have you thoroughly researched what they can do, and if you really need one or are you just intrigued by having a new gadget like your friends? Let’s start with this question. One of the first and still major uses for a PDA is an appointment book or calendar. If you are currently using an appointment book like a Franklin Planner, the PDA can certainly replace this. One advantage of a PDA over an appointment book is that changes don’t require constant erasing and re-writing. A PDA is usually backed up on your PC, so there is always a back-up. A new PDA does not have to be purchased every year like a Franklin Planner, so in the long run it will be cheaper. This plus the previous mentioned advantages may be enough to make the switch. Of course there are many other features and uses for a PDA besides an appointment book, among which are: • Address book • Calculator • Internet Access • Notes and document management • Games • GPS Given that you are ready to go forward with the purchase, your choice of a PDA model will depend on what you need it for—what you want it to do. Following are some of the important considerations: Memory – If you plan to use your PDA for storing large documents and other reference works, then you’ll need the corresponding amount of memory. Also check to see if the memory can be expanded. You’ll need to consider the other software that you might want to run on your PDA. Size – All the features do you no good if you don’t bother to bring the PDA with you due to its bulky size. Input Options – If you plan on using the PDA to take notes with, a compact external keyboard is essential. The built in stylus input is designed for small amounts of data only. Battery Life – Again, dictated by your specific needs. Finding the best place to purchase your PDA can be done easily with online shopping portals. Ebay of course always has offers. One thing to consider for a PDA is a buyers protection plan that is offered by many local retailers. Normally these end up costing more than they are worth, but just one drop of your PDA onto a hard surface can destroy it. If you are buying a high end PDA and will be running around with it daily, a buyers protection plan may be worthwhile.
Credit card fraud and what can you do
This day and age, credit card fraud is very common. Victims of credit card fraud often experience a lot of hassle and stress. If you have a credit card, you should always be aware of the security features that is included with the card. If you are looking to get a credit card, you should always make sure that it offers plenty of security. With credit card companies all over the United States, credit card fraud is becoming more and more common. Consumers are becoming more and more aware of the situation, and always look for ways to protect themselves. Many companies that offer credit cards are looking into other methods of security, to prevent credit card fraud from happening. The best way to protect yourself against fraud is to check the monthly credit card statements you receive. By looking at your statements, you’ll easily be able to tell if your account has suffered any type of fraud. If you notice any type of fraudulent charges, you should instantly contact your credit card company and inform them. This way, they look into it and try to retrieve the money that was illegally stolen from you. Another way that you protect yourself from fraud is to never reply to emails that may appear to be sent by your bank or credit card company. There are a lot of fake emails going around, that will steal your information should you enter it in. You should always use caution with emails, and reply only if you know that the email was indeed sent from your bank or credit card provider. You can also protect yourself from fraud by keeping your credit card around you at all times. When you hand it to someone to make a payment, ensure that it is given back to you promptly. You should also keep it safe from others so they can’t view your information. When you carry your credit card with you, you should always keep it in a safe place, such as your wallet. This way, you don’t have to worry about it falling out. There are always steps that you can take, to avoid falling into the trap of thieves and criminals. Criminals are always out there, looking for ways that they can steal your credit card information. Therefore, it’s up to you to protect yourself. Get up to $200,000 to "move" your existing business. Your 7 days program to positive thinking
"Enlightenment" Your 7 days program to Positive thinking I'm sure you have a bright idea hidden somewhere in the back of your mind that you just can't wait to test out. Of course you're not the only one with the bright idea. So what motivates you to churn those creative, or even inspiring juices to its utmost flavor? It's always best to set up a personal goal where you can accomplish the most in record time, maybe like mowing the lawn in an hour before the big game on TV. A correct and positive attitude in whatever you do will make things easier, and even enjoyable. Here are some tips to make it through the week even if you're just sitting in your favorite couch. An idea takes time to form in your head and is always at work while you are busy sitting. Having a bit of positive thinking can help you realize things that are never thought possible. Thinking big is indeed the American Way and that what made our country prosperous. 1. Take passionate action towards living your life by design. Talk is cheap. Action = deposits in the bank of a passionately authentic future. Without it, passion is void. This is a perfect example where dreams are made of where you start by tinkering with your mind, then with your hands. And if the idea weakens, you can always go back to it later until you finish it. 2mit to yourself as well as those you love to create powerfully a life you can love. Instead of reacting, commit to creating from your heart and soul, out of love rather than fear. The American Dream will always be there, but a dream will still be a dream without motion. Be amazed as the transformation begins. 3. Recognize and embrace the thought that each moment is perfect regardless of its outcome. Every time you hit on something that may appear too extreme, why not give it a shot and see if it will work. You will be surprised to see of there are other ways to get the task done in time. If you are not pleased with the outcome, decide to use that moment to learn from and make the appropriate shift. 4. Dwell completely in a place of gratitude. Learn to utilize what you have in your hands and make use of it in the most constructive way. Slipping into neediness will become less of a habit when you repeatedly shift towards gratitude, away from poverty consciousness. 5. Use a Passion Formula of Recognize/Reevaluate/Restore in place of the Shoulda/Woulda/Coulda whirlwind. The former is based in increased knowledge and abundance while the latter focuses on scarcity and lack. As you face people or tasks that may seem harder than scaling the summit of the Himalayas, allow yourself to realize that the task is just as important as giving out orders to your subordinates. You would rather be richly passionate! 6. Keep humor at the forefront of thought, laughing at and with yourself when possible. You may find yourself quite entertaining when you loosen up! I am yet to see a comedian ever go hungry even though his jokes are as 'old as great-grandma'. Life has so much to offer to allow you to mope around in self pity. Humor is very attractive, very passionate: life-giving. 7. Believe that you are the architect of your destiny. No one can take your passionate future from you except for you! Create your life authentically. As long as there's still breath in your body, there is no end to how much you can accomplish in a lifetime. The concept of thinking big is all about enjoying your work, which would lead to celebrate a discovery that is born within your hands. Watch everything flow into place with perfect, passionate precision. It's interesting how people get wallowed up by something trivial as learning to use a computer, when nowadays that top computer companies are manufacturing software that even the kids can do it. I don't mean to be condescending, but that's the idea of not having any positive thinking in your life-you'll just end up as a dim bulb in a dark corner. So instead of subjecting yourself to what you will be doomed for, make your path by taking the first step with a positive attitude.

What is a perfect nose
As Los Angeles plastic surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty, I am frequently asked by my patients to give them a perfect nose. Well, there not one perfect nose that can work for everyone. When looking at pictures of models or celebrities who are considered to have beautiful noses, one can clearly see they all have different noses. It is not necessarily a certain size or shape of the nose that makes it beautiful but rather how well the nose fits with the rest of the face. However, there are general characteristics of a male and female know that people find attractive. For example, in most women raised tips with a gently (concave) curve of the dorsum results in a feminine and natural appearing nose. The dorsum is the top edge of the nose. Visit my our rhinoplasty before and after section to view such pictures. During nose surgery (rhinoplasty), the hump on the dorsum is gently shaved until a natural appearing curve is achieved. The next step in rhinoplasty is to raise the tip. In women the tip is raised such that the angle between the bottom portion of the nose and upper lip is about 95-100 degrees. The goals for rhinoplasty in men are slightly different that those in women. In most men a straight (not curved) dorsum is more appropriate. The tip is typically raised less maintaining the angle between the bottom of the nose and upper lip of about 90 degrees. Some men, however, will prefer to have a gently curve and the tip raised higher. So it is important for any rhinoplasty surgeon, to spend enough time with the patient discussing his or her goal of nose surgery, as well as likely outcomes and limitations. In my practice, I meet with patients at least twice before the day of surgery to have these discussions. More information about rhinoplasty and before and after photographs of nose reshaping surgery can be found on our website. Vladimir Grigoryants, MD Glendale, CA (800)540-0508 vgplasticsurgery
Types of associate programs and how to make the best choice
Associate programs allow you to make use of a variety of services for an unlimited period of time but only pay for them when they are able to provide the exact results you’re hoping for. Whatever product or service your company is selling, it’s sure to benefit from the use of associate programs, especially if you’ve made the right choice. Types of Associate Programs Comparison Shopping Sites and Directories – Websites like Pricegrabber allow customers to make their own comparisons of the rates offered by various merchant websites. A brief summary of features and other things to be expected from the product is usually included as well. If the customer likes the price together with other services or benefits you may be offering then he’ll be directed from the comparison shopping site to your own page. The greatest advantage here is enjoyed by consumers but if you’re certain you’re offering very competitive rates then you might as well let your consumers know that by letting them compare and contrast! Personal Websites – These websites are what started associate or affiliate marketing in the first place but the emergence and growing popularity of other types of associate programs and services have sadly made them almost negligible in the picture. They are still nonetheless good choices for making small investments and work especially well if you’re targeting niche markets. Be sure to pay a ocular visit to the website first before entering into any agreement with the website owner. Blogs – Another reason why personal websites are a dying breed is due to blogs. Blogs are online journals which owners can usually customize according to their own liking. Blogs can be connected to other blogs within its hosting community. They can also be advertised in websites like Technorati. Owners often allow readers, whether they’re members of their blogging community or not, to write comments on their entries. The interactive feature of blogs is one of its greatest assets, and it’s what makes blog owners powerful marketing associates as well. If you are choosing blogs to make up your associate program, do make sure at least they have their own RSS feeds for better marketing! Content and Niche Sites – These websites are able to enjoy lots of traffic mainly because of the content they’re offering. The content may be made up of product reviews – which should include reviews of your company’s products of course – or content that is directly related to what you’re offering. It’s another good choice for an associate because it allows customers to know about your products in great depth. At times, it can even allow customers to know how your products can be directly applied or beneficial to your life. Coupon and Rebate Websites – Remember those coupons and rebates you could tear off from boxes, packages, labels, and at the back of magazines and newspapers? The Internet had their own version of that and it takes the form of coupon and rebate websites. People get to enjoy discounts by shopping from these sites. You can enjoy better sales if you include your products in their catalogues. Loyalty Sites – Think of these websites as reward credit cards in which customers own an equivalent number of points by buying products from a particular website. Those products could include yours if you wish! How to Make the Best Choice Now that you know the various types of associate programs, here are the two most important factors to consider when looking for the associate program or programs that will give you the greatest profit margins. Budget – While you’re not going to pay for the services offered by associate programs right away, you certainly have to prepare for the time when you do have to pay. Know your budget beforehand to know which options are still available for you. Needs – Do you prefer to increase your sales with the help of associate programs? If so, then you’ll do better with a cost per sale (CPS) scheme. If you believe however that you need to increase your market size then you might do better with a cost per action (CPA) scheme which helps in generating leads. These two factors must be your primary concern when choosing the best associate program for your company. When you’ve made your choice, run a test on it, and see if it matches your expectations!
Improve your memory
A Quick Word Helps to Remember Do you have a list you have to remember quickly? Take the first letters and form an acronym. For example - you have to remember to send Fred, Lisa, Ethel and Andrew cards. Yes, their first initials form the word FLEA. Imagine itching (your head?) because you have a flea - you know the first letters of their names. Going to the supermarket? Bread, vinegar, ketchup, onions, tuna, olive oil - BVKOTO. Not too promising? Try rearranging them - you have TV BOOK. Think of a book jumping out of a Television and attacking you. Silly? Yes. But remember - the sillier the better, it will force it to stay in your head. Now you have all the letters. If you don't have enough letters to form a word - try to find one that comes close. PROMPT for PRMT, FAULT for FLT and so on. You already know the items you have to remember. What you are trying to do is create a reminder - once your memory is jogged, the words will come back. When you are devising the acronym, remember to picture the items visually in your head, visualization is a strong memory technique. Forming A Story If you have a longer list of seemingly unrelated items, that automatically becomes a good candidate for a story. For example: Glass, Horn, Cat, Onion, Melon These words may be unrelated, but that is the point - you can combine them easily with a story that will be outrageous enough, it will stay in you head - change the order if necessary - A cat is playing with a melon and all of a sudden it's repelled by the smell of an onion that was used to season the melon. The cat got all excited and ran away - racing through a glass window and landing inside a big French horn. It's silly and childish - but that's the point, it's silly enough to be remembered. Think the story through and the key words - cat - melon - onion - glass - horn - come to mind. Of course, it's unlikely that you'll ever have to remember a list of words such as this, but the point is not to be afraid to create the absurd. It works. Longer Lists What if you have an extremely long list of items to remember? Try breaking it down into more suitable sub-chains and apply the same rules as above. Better still - see if you can organize the list better. Put similar or like items together. Are you able to form acronyms from any of the items? Can you separate the list in such a way that the acronyms form words and then you can combine these words? Remember, the more ridiculous the thought - the stronger the impact and the better it will stay in your memory. It helps if either the acronyms or the associations you create can form mental images. What you can see in your mind is very strong and the stronger something is, the better you can play with it and the easier it will be to remember. What may be difficult at first will come with practice. Relate the Facts If a piece of information doesn't relate to you, then try finding something about it that does. For example, the human body has 60,000 miles of blood vessels. Kind of hard to believe? Think that means ten round-trip drives between Los Angeles and New York and it will take on meaning. Do you have to remember the physical dimensions for a room or a field? Compare it to something you know already. If you're a sports fan, chances are you can picture the size of the playing field. How does that compare to the space you are trying to remember - bigger smaller, would it fit into a football field - how many times? Learn how you can instantly start to remember more with greater accuracy. A better memory and more fulfilling life await you!
Text v graphic on adsense
Text v Graphic on Adsense Google Adsense provides advertisers and publishers with the opportunity to place adverts in both text and graphic format. As advertisers decide to put adsense into their website over banner advertising, the question still remains. Which is the best for advertisers and which is the best for publishers? On one hand advertisers may feel that image adverts are more responsive yet less likely to stimulate a sale. On the other hand text adverts may convert more, whilst being less visible to the consumer. Text based adverts are considered the least intrusive of the two formats. However does that mean that Graphic advertising is better? Consumers are used to graphic advertising from signing into free email accounts, and from using other web based services. Through being used to graphic advertising they have almost programmed their selves to ignore it. Through the adverts being untargeted, the consumer is used to brand advertising which they feel is generally less purposeful. This may cause the consumer to ignore the graphic advert from the assumption that it will be the same. Text adverts are not forced upon surfers. Through being less obvious some people will not see them at all, however those who do see them, and read them are significantly more likely to click on them. This is for a number of reasons, but the first is that they provide more information. Generally, someone who is reading text on a page is not going to be fully satisfied by what they read, and if they check adsense adverts they will most likely read something which will further supplement whatever their intention is next. With an image advert, it is far more of a gamble for the surfer. Graphic advertising is often paid per impression. This is because the advertiser may be trying to promote their brand, instead of promoting a specifically useful service. They therefore are assumed to have worse conversion rates, and with this text adverts are in the consumers eyes more effective. However, if the text contained within an advert was placed in graphic format, which would be the most effective? Well firstly it can assumed that the surfer will be more likely to view it, however if their were multiple image adverts appearing next to each other they may feel overwhelmed. Graphic adverts are also harder to regulate. Let’s consider Google allowing adverts to be changed frequently and without regulation. The advertiser could claim affiliation from the website they are advertising on, and contain keywords such as “ipod” which cannot be contained within a text advert. Although more regulation and quality control could be in place, a pornographic image for example could be made to appear in an advertiser’s adverts unknowingly. Text adverts also have a broader market appeal, as advertisers don’t generally have the in house resources to create an image advert, but do have the in house resources to write a text advert. This could mean that a wider array of advertisers find text advertising accessible, through text adverts being less burden on the advertiser, and being easy to change. Text adverts are also cheaper for the advertiser to create, where as a graphically designed advert may cost in excess of $200. Through removing this fixed cost advertisers may be willing to allot a higher rate to advertising itself; thus benefiting the advertiser and the publisher. Text advertising appears to be the preference of the advertiser. They pay a CTR (click through rate) and only receive targeted traffic. This removes risks from businesses that previously had to worry that adverts were not only seen, but clicked on and stimulating sales. As CPC (Cost Per Click) is more relevant to text adverts, advertisers are able to gain exposure without needing a high click through rate to be effective. The big brands are willing to advertise in both formats however the broad market appeal of text inevitably makes it the winner. As flash websites disappear with image adverts, it is becoming clear that text and information is the preference of the website users. You need to have optimized niche website templates for best results. You may find the best adsense templates and blog templates at AdsenseTemplates ( adsensetemplates). They are offering 100 fresh new templates every month. 677

Six ways for kids to make money
Most of us know the usual ways for kids to make money, which include lemonade stands, newspaper routes and mowing lawns. However, there are more unusual ways. Some of the ways listed below are from my own childhood, when I was always looking for another way to make money. 1. Be a chef. At about eleven years old, I used to sell meals to my brothers (I had four of them). I got 25 cents for scrambled eggs or a sandwich, and more for more complicated meals. My brothers preferred to stay in front of the TV and let me cook for them. Since the food was already provided by my parents, the income was pure profit. 2puter whiz-kid service. Many young kids know a lot about computers. My nephew was getting paid for programming by the the time he was fourteen, but even younger kids can show old folks how to use a computer and the internet for a fee. Learn a few more skills, and they can even set up computers for new owners who are using them for the first time. Letting grandparents spread the word would be a good marketing ploy. 3. Household carnival. I charged my brothers five cents for a wadded up piece of paper selected from a bucket full of them. Most had a penny or two inside them, but a few had a quarter. It was just one of my "carnival" events. I also had them throwing pennies at a bowl across the room, which I kept, of course. If a penny stayed in the bowl they won a dime. I'm almost embarrassed to say how much of their hard-earned paper route money I took from them. 4. Collect returnables. We collected and returned cans and bottles for a deposit as kids. Now that more states have return laws, it's an even better way to make a little cash. During the Cherry Festival, when I lived in Traverse City, Michigan, adults came to town just to collect the cans that people threw all over. With a 10 cent deposit, they were collecting more than $100 worth per day according to several of them. If the kids wear gloves, leave broken cans and bottles alone, and use hand sanitizer, this is a safe way to make money. 5. Personal services menu. If there are many people in the family, a great way for kids to make money is to sell their services. They can make a menu of things they'll do and how much they charge for each. It might include washing windows for 50 cents each, for example, and maybe $1.50 to walk a dog. If the list is copied, it could be handed out to all relatives and possibly neighbors too. 6. Rummage sales and flea markets. If parents agree, kids can have rummage sales, selling not just household things, but arts and crafts and refreshments too. Parents might even take their kids to a flea market to set up a stand. I sold (as an adult) more than $1,000 of hand-made walking sticks one summer, while my wife sold hundreds of dollars worth in pewter figurines glued to rocks, sea shells and crystals. Cookies and drinks sell well too. It's a great way to learn about business, and a good way for kids to make money.
The secret to a better golf game
A better golf game is achievable by any golfer. It doesn’t matter what your age is, how good a player you are or how long you’ve been playing. But the key to a better golf game may not be what you think. The ‘standard’ approach to a better golf game is taking lessons; buying more equipment; and hitting hundreds of golf balls at the range. Although, the above approach is not altogether incorrect…there is one crucial missing element. That element is your BODY! You swing those fancy clubs; you hit all those balls at the range; and you physically participate in the aspect of taking lessons. The common denominator is your body. Do you agree? If you don’t, I’d like to hear you’re explanation of why not. If you are following me, and think I’m remotely correct, then why wouldn’t you work on your body to play a better golf game? I’m constantly hearing golfers say they’ve taken lessons, bought new equipment and pounded hundreds of balls but still have not seen improvement. That’s the telltale! That leaves just one thing…YOU. Don’t get me wrong…I firmly believe you need an understanding of golf swing technique, and golf equipment can help. But pounding balls just for the sake of doing it won’t help you play a better golf game. Now picture this. You do a few simple stretches and golf exercises daily and go out to play. You now realize you can make a bigger backswing with less tension; you have more clubhead speed enabling you to hit longer drives; and you are not worn out on the back nine. Isn’t that worth the minimal investment in your time? To play a better golf game…you’ve got to take a different approach than what you are currently doing. One that gets to the root of the problem. The one that’s causing those mishits and inconsistencies. You will be amazed at your outcome if you take this approach. You will finally play a better golf game.
Deep sea fishing it s all in the weight
: Whether you fancy deep sea fishing in Orlando or anywhere else in the world, knowing a little about which weights and baits to use can make a huge difference when looking for that big catch. Certain fish feed at different times of the day, if there is a particular fish that you are hoping to catch, then it is worth finding out what time of the day these fish are most active and timing your deep sea fishing trip to go out at that time of day. As well as the right time, it is important that you use the right weights to meet the weather conditions. You can’t always tell what is happening with your line once you have cast it out into sea, but you can tell by the surface what kind of current you might expect underneath. The way your bait moves underwater can also determine whether or not you are likely to get a bite, so using the right weights are important. There are a number of different weights you can use, and here are just a few to give you an idea what to look out for. Pear Shaped Pear shaped weights are the more commonly used weights. These weights are great for normal weather conditions. They allow the bait to move around to help things look more normal to the passer by fish that are looking for a feed. However, these will not be much use in stronger currents. Grip Leads Grip leads are great for stronger tides when a Pear shaped weight just isn’t strong enough. Watch Leads Watch leads are like flat rounded weights which are similar to Pear shaped weights but they won’t roll around so hold the bottom of the sea bed better. Ball Weights Ball weights are not like the other leads. Ball weights slide onto the rod rather than being tied. As well as being used as normal weights, people also use them to give more weight to the rod. When choosing the right weight for weather conditions you should also take into account how those weights will act underwater. It is always better to have a weight that is too heavy than a weight that is too light. Weights that are too light will make the tackle move towards the river bank. This looks un-natural and will likely give you fewer bites than a heavier weight. If you are on a deep sea fishing trip and you have cast out and you are not getting many bites, it is always worth experimenting with different weights as well as different bait. You could cast out 2 rods and leave one static and experiment with the other. If you are not getting a catch in a long period of time, then it is definitely worth experimenting. Using fresh fish as bait is always better and likely to get more bites. Bigger fish are attracted to fresh bait, so if it means you have to spend a little more on your bait, the reward that will come from it will be worth it. If you are the kind of person who enjoys night fishing, then using a luminous bead with a torch will enable you to see where you have cast out for at least 20 seconds. As well as this, using a head torch will ensure your hands are free when a big fish comes along. It may sound a lot to take in for the new deep sea fisherman, but well worth taking note of to give you a better experience on your fishing trip.
Mortgage payment protection cover can work if you understand the policy
Providing that you have read the terms and conditions of a policy then mortgage payment protection cover can work and do the job its designed to do which is give you a tax free income with which to carry on meeting your mortgage repayments each month if you should come out of work due to suffering from an accident, long term sickness or through involuntary redundancy. Should you lose your monthly income, the State cannot be relied upon to provide you with the income to carry on repaying your mortgage; they do give help but the financial assistance they give is very little even if you do qualify. Mortgage payment protection cover can be a better way of having peace of mind but it isn’t without limitations though as there are exclusions which determine if the cover would be suitable for your circumstances. Usual exclusions include only working part time, being retired, r if you have suffered from an illness during the last 2 years and at the time of taking out the policy. The mortgage payment protection cover would begin to payout once you had been out of work for a period of time which is stated at the outset of the policy and can be anywhere between the 31st day of being out of work continually right up to 90 days of being out of work. However the majority of providers will backdate the policy to the first day of you coming out of work which ensures that you don’t lose out and would then continue to give you peace of mind for up to 12 months and some providers extend this to 24 months. Mortgage payment protection cover can be an expensive addition to an already over stretched budget but it doesn’t have to be if you go with a standalone specialist for the cover. Historically, the specialist provider will always give the best deal on mortgage payment protection cover and this could save you literally thousands of pounds hundreds on the total cost of this invaluable protection.
Small businesses jack be nimble jack be quick
I have been in business now for over twenty years and in that time I have made friends with many small business owners. What I have found has been one of the major reasons why some small businesses fail is that the owners are not willing to change direction. Most small businesses have an office, premises, vehicles and maybe a couple of staff. If they are struggling to make money with their existing product lines why do some of them refuse to move to a new product range that might work better? The major advantage of being a small business owner is that it is possible to move very fast. If you have products that are not profitable then why not ditch them now? If the niche you are operating is no longer as profitable as it used to then surely it is time to find a new niche? Small businesses can be nimble. They can bend or even change direction at a drop of the hat. This ability to react quickly to market forces is our biggest weapon against the large companies we compete against. By being the first to exploit a new niche brings with it the potential for large rewards. The slow footed large companies will eventually follow you but it will take them time to catch up. We have an advantage in that if we stay alert to what is happening in the marketplace we can change our business model quickly when the old ways of doing business changes. By thinking outside the box and looking for partnerships with non competing businesses it is possible to supply a larger range of products / services to your existing clients. "Jack be nimble, Jack be quick" is the one of the best ways to stay one step ahead of the game. It's no longer just about "survival of the fittest". It is now "survival of the quickest".
You can successfully reach financial freedom with a home based business
The power of entrepreneurship and the rapid growth of the direct selling industry have business-savvy investors and large, respected companies sitting up and taking notice. It’s no surprise to the 13.6 million Americans and 55 million people worldwide already part of the direct selling industry that business is booming. Whether you know it as network marketing, multi-level marketing or referral marketing, the industry is making a powerful impact on the way people do business and how they live their lives. How is it possible that this industry is thriving when so many are feeling an economic pinch? Well, that is simply a matter of perspective. The glass – is-half-full camp believes this is a time of massive economic change. And discerning entrepreneurs who recognize these shifting trends and stake their claim in these new and emerging industries will be the ones to gain enormously. As Fortune magazine recently stated.” Forget the paycheck; your W-2 days are over. It’s a 1099 world now”. Today’s direct selling distributors also called representatives, associates, or independent business owners tell customers, typically people they know, about products and services that can improve the quality of their lives during the course of everyday, normal conversations. These person-to-person conversations might take place at home, at work, or at a coffee shop. And you don’t have to be an experienced salesperson to make money if what you’re selling is a product you use and believe in. The ease of entry makes direct selling a practical, accessible method for millions to earn additional part-time income without having to quit their job. The typical direct selling company provides all the tools systems and training needed to be up and profitable immediately for a nominal entry fee. The beauty of direct selling is that it’s all done for you. You don’t have to create a business plan. You don’t have to create a product. The only thing you need to do is find a reputable company, one that you trust, that offers a product or service you believe in and can get passionate about. Anyone can do this! As the ultimate equal opportunity solution, direct selling represents the purest form of equality through free enterprise. In fact, that’s one of the most striking features of the industry: It involves men and women from all walks of life: all ages: all racial, ethnic and socioeconomic groups. In fact, the top earners in direct selling also represent a diverse group of successful case histories. According to the direct selling association, the industry’s trade group, 24 percent of direct sellers have high school diploma or less education; 35 percent are college graduates; and one in 12 has a postgraduate degree. In my opinion the best way we can secure our own future is to take charge of it early on. We can do this by creating multiple streams of income. There is one thing that can provide you financial freedom and that is residual income. Residual income is money that keeps coming in long after you complete the work that created it. This can include the monthly income from a rental house, dividends from stock investments and even oil, gas, book or song royalties. Regardless of the source, residual income is the name of the game, and the genius of the direct selling model is that it makes residual income a very real possibility for absolutely anyone, regardless of age, background, education or skills. Not everyone is going to own a valuable piece of real estate or write a best-selling book. But anyone can run their own direct selling business. Best selling author Stephen Covey says” Direct selling helps affirm people’s worth and potential, and can open up a whole new alternative income stream that can make a huge difference in their life. It is entrepreneurial opportunity where people can use their talent and their passion towards a greater good. Direct selling’s status as the business world’s best-kept secret may soon be in jeopardy. But that’s what happens when business is booming. By Donna Touchette © 2007. All rights reserved.

Blackjack learn how to become a champion
: Learn How to Play and Win Blackjack after practicing some basic steps that can be learn easily. Blackjack is one of the more easier card games that you will come across, and its basic concept is simple: get 21 as the sum of your cards or get as close to 21 but higher than the sum of your opponent's cards. 1) Do not try and reach 21. Yes. Even though blackjack is also commonly called 21, trying to reach 21 with every hand is an amateurish move. You will, most certainly, lose the hand. Statistical research conducted has shown that the odds of reaching 21 is lesser than the odds of getting more than 21. 2) Try and Beat the Dealer. Since blackjack is a one on one battle: you versus the dealer, focus on beating the dealer. Instead of trying to get 21, try to guess what hand the dealer will receive and accordingly play your hand. Remember that the dealer at a regular casino or even at an online casino has to stop taking more cards if the cards on the table add up to 17. But if their cards add up to 16 or any number less, they will have to take another card. 3) Look at the dealer's card facing up. The only way to play is to look at the dealer's card facing up. If it is a low card like a two or anything up to a 6 or 7, try and get a high number combination. If it’s a 9 or 10, the odds are high that he has a 10 underneath or at least he will be forced to take another card. So, reach anything up to 20 or 21, but its better to even stop at a 18 or 19 and hope they will over-run the sum of 21. How Blackjack is Played at a Casino: 1) Place your bet on the table. Each blackjack table has a set beginning bet and this ranges from a dollar to ten or twenty for the high-rollers crowd. This is the amount of chips you will have to put down, and this signals to the dealer that you are taking part in the next round. 2) You will get a card. The dealer then deals a card to you and all the other players who have also placed a bet down. 3) The dealer places a face-up card in front. This is one of the cards of the dealer, and since its facing up, all the players have a chance to judge the outcome of his cards. 4) The dealer deals the second card. The dealer, then, deals you and all the players an additional card. This is the time to have a look at them and at the dealer's card and decide whether you wish to get another card. 5) The dealer asks. The dealer now turns to each player and asks them if they wish to receive another card. If you wish it, the dealer will give you a card. Then, the dealer will ask you again. Note that the dealer will be with you until you decide that you do not want to receive any more cards. Then, the dealer moves on to the next player, then, the next, and so on. 6) The dealer starts playing. Only when all the players have said that they do not want any more cards, does the dealer start playing. He takes cards until he has reached 17 or above. Then, he has to stop. 7) The dealer opens the cards. When he's done, the dealer first reveals all his cards. Then, he moves from one player to the other opening their cards. After revealing each player's hands, the dealer pays out the bet or takes the bet away according to who has won and who has lost.
Deck railing plans visual appeal of buildings
The articles gives you ideas of increasing the visual appeal of your building by judicious use of various material and colors used in deck railing plans at various levels in such a way so as to compliments the color scheme of your building. Materials Make Or Mar Deck railing Plans The materials that you use for your decking materials, will ultimately decide if your decking plans are usable, doable and above all, useful to you or not. For example if you use a wooden railing where lot of water is being used (in garden, lawns and or near the swimming pool etc.), the wood can disintegrate over a period of time due water splashing on the wood. On the other hand, if you use PVC on a sun bathed patio, the PVC would start cracking after 2 or 3 years and you might have to replace it completely. Choose Materials For Decking Railing Plans Carefully Consider the following when you chose material for deck and railings. • The intended purpose of the deck • Frequency of use • Other possible uses of the deck • Surrounding areas and its general use • Safety considerations • Use of water on the deck or the surrounding area • Possibility of skidding or slipping due to use of water • Material used for decks The material to be used have to be made long lasting so does not repeated expenditures on this count. The manufacturers of various materials have started giving guarantees for their materials for nearly 20 years now. This shows the confidence they have behind the product. Your railing plans contribute to the looks of your building by color schemes employed for the railings. Materials as the wood, PVC, aluminum, in combinations are being used for the decking railings. Use Of Software Previewing Looks Of Railings Computer software may also be used for looking at your future looks of your building after fitting the various components of deck railings like the posts, balustrades and other parts of the railing such as light fittings and decorative fittings. The color combinations of various components can be seen on the software and complete effect on the building can be seen by the user before the person’s eyes and changed before the final decision can be made.
Bvlgari weird spelled an exceptional perfume
Bvlgari Perfume: weird spelled an exceptional perfume Probably the most bizarre spelled perfume name ever, sometimes, if you try to find information on Bvlgari perfume, you will need to search for “Bulgari perfume”,as well as Bvlgari. It is in the nature of our brains to seek and make order out of chaos. “Bvl” just doesn’t have a phonetic equivalent. But “Bul” does, and so perfume sellers continue to market “Bulgari perfume” although this is a misspelling of the product. Famous Bvlgari Bvlgari is one of the famous designer brands, they literally everything from sunglasses to watches. They also, of course, make spectacularly posh perfume. They are measured the brand name you want to wear if you are nominated for an Oscar. The Bvlgari brand name is less well known than Tiffany’s, but has a more obsessive and perceptive following. Bvlgari watches, for instance, are considered equivalent to Rolex. One of the things that make Bvlgari perfume expensive is roses, they are hard to get. How could Roses not be everywhere? They must be everywhere? Well, you would need 4000 pounds of rose petals to yield one ounce of pure essential rose oil. Any perfume perfume made of roses will obviously be quite expensive. One of the most fashionable Bvlgari perfumes is Rose Essentielle, which is typically made up of other scents other than rose, or no one would buy it. It also has blackberry, living mimosa, patchouli and several other flowers whose names makes this writer’s eyes cross. Testers Bvlgari perfumes also provide that many other designer perfume makers don’t is that they sell tester sized bottles. You can actually get them online. Amazon sells them. These bottles don’t come with fancy designs and packaging of their larger siblings, but do you want to buy the bottle or the perfume? You can also check for better prices on Bvlgari perfume on sites like eBay. You may need to deal with a used or opened bottle tough. Never send seller money by wires – that typically indicate a scammer. Check the seller’s rating to read what other buyers think of the seller. Be patient and do a lot of praying. Even for expensive perfumes, when the sniffer is ready, the perfume will appear within your budget.

Special education has changed over time
Special education has been assisting students with learning disabilities in the United States education system since the end of World War II. The first push for special education started when a group of parent-organized advocacy groups surfaced. In 1947 one of the first organizations, the American Association on Mental Deficiency, held its first convention. That marked a starting point for special education as we know it today. Started during the Civil Rights Movement in the early 1950s, the United Cerebral Palsy Association, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and John F. Kennedy’s Panel on Mental Retardation were among an increased amount of advocacy groups for assisted learning programs. This strong push helped bring special education into schools across the country in the 1960's as school access was established for children with disabilities at state and local levels. The parent advocacy groups dating back to 1947 laid the ground floor for government legislation being approved by Congress in 1975 that was called the “Education for All Handicapped Children Act” (Public Law 94-142). This act went into effect in October of 1977 and it was the beginning for federal funding of special education in schools nationwide. The act required public schools to offer "free appropriate public education" to students with a wide range of disabilities, including “physical handicaps, mental retardation, speech, vision and language problems, emotional and behavioral problems, and other learning disorders.” The law from 1977 was extended in 1983 to offer parent training and information centers. Later in 1986 the government started programs targeting youngsters with potential learning disabilities. The Act from 1975 was changed to the “Individuals with Disabilities Education Act” (IDEA) in 1990. Since establishment of IDEA more than 6.5 million children and 200,000+ toddlers and infants are being assisted each year. Special education in schools often unintentionally overlooks a key aspect of why students suffer from learning disabilities. The reasons for common learning disabilities are weak cognitive skills. Studies show that 80% of students enrolled in special education at some level suffer from underlying weak cognitive skills. Cognitive skills are the mental capabilities that one needs to successfully learn academic subjects. In more detail cognitive skills are learning skills used to retain information; process, analyze, and store facts and feelings; and create mental pictures, read words, and understand concepts. They are not to be confused with academic skills which would include subjects like math, science, or history. Proper testing to identify these weak cognitive skills will help quality learning centers put together a plan of action to strengthen them. This sort of training will last a lifetime. By not targeting the cognitive skills a student will struggle for the rest of their life until they are trained properly. It is highly recommended that you get your child tested at a learning training center that provides cognitive testing. Once tested a personal, unique training program can be developed for your child to overcome their learning disability.
